How do I shorten a Google Docs link?
Copy the share link from Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, or Drive and paste it into Reqlick. Replace the long document ID with a slug like /proposal, on your own domain if you connect one. Share it in client emails, briefs, or presentations. Reqlick tracks each click with location, device, and referral data.
Can I swap in a new version of a Google Doc behind the same short link?
Yes. When the new version is a separate file, edit the Reqlick link's destination to point at it. Clients keep the same link from earlier emails and open the latest document. Access still follows Google's sharing settings, so share the new file the same way as the old one before you switch.
Can I see if my Google Doc link was opened from Slack or email?
Reqlick records the referral source and time for each click on your Google Docs short link, so you can see whether it came from email, Slack, a project tool, or a direct share. Some apps do not pass a referrer, so those clicks cannot be attributed. Separate links per channel give the cleanest answer.
Do Google Docs short links use my Reqlick file storage?
